Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026.
These terms cover your use of Clean Vendor Check, a service run by ProcurementExpress. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent. Questions: procurementexpress.com.
What the service does
Clean Vendor Check searches the SAM.gov Exclusions Public Extract, published by the U.S. General Services Administration, and keeps a record of each search. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by GSA.
A result is a record of a search, not a decision. It is not legal advice and not a determination of a vendor's eligibility. A name-only search can return possible matches that a person must review, and "no match" only means no active exclusion record was found in the data as of the stated date. Agencies can add exclusions at any time after a check. You decide whether and how to do business with a vendor, and which verification method you use under 2 CFR 180.300.
The data comes from SAM.gov. We import it daily, but we don't control it and can't guarantee it is complete, current or correct. Each result shows the date of the data it used and warns you if that data is out of date.
Your account
- Use a work email you control. You're responsible for what happens under your account and its API keys.
- Only upload vendor information your organization is entitled to use. Never enter tax IDs (SSNs, EINs or TINs); the service rejects them.
- If you ask us to request a UEI from a vendor, you confirm you have a business relationship with that vendor and that we may email them on your organization's behalf.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, harass anyone, send unsolicited email, probe or overload our systems, get around plan limits or rate limits, or resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.
Plans and payment
The free plan has the limits shown on the pricing section, which we may change. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe. You can cancel at any time in Settings; the plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't refund partial periods. If we change a paid plan's price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
Your data
Your organization owns the vendor information and evidence records in your account. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy page. See Security for how we protect them.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or retire features. If we close the service, we'll give account holders reasonable notice and a way to export their evidence records.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on a result. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date above when these terms change, and tell account holders by email about significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
